Turkey Club To Remember

This morning Matt, my parents and I headed over to Southern Seasons in Chapel Hill.  My parents went there a few months ago and said it was amazing; that plus seeing it on Caroline and Allie’s Blog confirmed my desire to go there.  We walked the aisles for quite some time and ended up with a bag full of goodies – I’m sure you will be seeing many of them in the next few weeks.  Some will have to wait until after Christmas though – I am scared to fly with a few of the glass containers so my mom will bring them to NJ to give us over the holidays.

My favorite sandwich on Earth is a turkey club.   Growing up, every year for my birthday (which is around Thanksgiving), I requested a Turkey Club for dinner.  Turkey leftovers = Turkey Club for me.

This has got to be one of the most unhealthy sandwiches, but I eat it maybe once or twice a year so I’m ok with it!

November 23, 2009 007My favorite turkey club is made with WHITE BREAD (slightly toasted), 1 1/2 pieces of bacon, lettuce, tomato and a little Miracle Whip.  I savor this sandwich – eating it slowly so I enjoy every minute.

I may need to eat another one of these sandwiches before I head back to MA on Friday – it is so good!

What is your favorite way to eat Thanksgiving leftovers?

I like to make turkey sandwiches with the leftover turkey. And sometimes my mom uses pieces to make a turkey pot pie.
