A Letter

by Heather on June 7, 2010

Dear Mother Nature,

Last time I ran a half marathon, it was snowing.  In Florida.  In fact, it was the coldest weather Florida has seen in 20 years.  My next half marathon is on Sunday.  Currently the weather forecast is:

Scattered thunderstorms possible. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s.

I would prefer it to be a tad cooler and no thunderstorms.  Clouds would be ok and humidity should be low.

I would appreciate all that you can do for me.

Thanks!

Heather

This morning I ran 6 miles – it was a great 6 miles.  My average pace was pretty decent and my last mile was my fastest – by almost 20 seconds.  I hope to run again on Wednesday (if my paper is finished) and again on Friday…

Before my run I had a Trader Joe’s Fig Walks Into a Bar and for breakfast I had my Chocolate Soy Nut butter Smoothie – 1 package Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast, frozen banana, 1 cup of skim milk and 1/4 cup of oatmeal (blended first).

Green Tip of the Day: Save paper by shrinking your margins.  You can also sign a petition at Change the Margins to ask Microsoft to change the default margins in Word.  Don’t forget to print double sided as well.
