At Work At 8

My class got out around 8:15 pm last night – better then 8:40 pm right?

I have to be at work at 8 am to be at our division breakfast at 8:30 am.  Knowing that, I had to get up early enough for a run AND a quick breakfast.  I wanted to have breakfast before going to the division breakfast not knowing what will be available – I have a strong suspicion it will be pastries and coffee.  That doesn’t really excite me. 

This morning I conquered week 1, day 3 of the Couch to 10k – if you have been reading, you would know this is a big accomplishment for me.  It was tough – 20 minutes at a 10k pace.  My legs felt like lead balloons after my Jillian Michaels shred workout yesterday – it is hard even to walk!

For breakfast, I made my favorite smoothie – Chocolate Soy Nut Smoothie.  In the magic bullet, I blended approximately 1/3 cup oatmeal.  Then I added 1 chocolate Carnation Instant breakfast, frozen banana, 1 cup skim milk and 1 tablespoon soy nut butter.  In my Amazing Grass cup because I’m drinking this on the way to work.
