Yesterday I made the mistake of wearing a pair of shoes to work that I haven’t worn in a long time. That coupled with a rainy run/walk to a meeting across campus resulted in soaking wet pants and blisters the size of nickels on both my ankles. I wanted to go for a run today, as it is the first day of no rain since Sunday, but I realized putting sneakers on raw ankles would not be in my best interest. Hopefully tomorrow?!?
To cheer myself up, I made a breakfast cannoli. I mixed 1/4 cup part skim ricotta cheese (leftover from pizza on Sunday) with 1 teaspoon of sugar. I added that to a mixture of Kashi Island Vanilla, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, a sliced banana and peach.
Oh what a good breakfast – and a great way to use up some leftover ricotta cheese.
Green Tip of the Day: For family or other casual events where there are lots of people and drinks, save water and energy by labeling glassware with stickers, masking tape and permanent markers, or for wine glasses, wine charms. Don’t forget the cloth napkins as well!

I hate blisters! They make me miserable! I have such sensitive feet and I always get them!
