I woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday; then I realized it was only Wednesday – Cream of Wheat Wednesday.
Time is on my side this morning as I have a doctors appointment at 10:30 am – although it is a half an hour away. I tried to wake up at 6 am like I have been the past few days, but instead I slept until 6:45 am. I did the Core Fusion workout DVDs again – this time the Upper Body and Thigh segments. Lets just say my thighs were still shaking while I was in the shower.
In honor of Cream of Wheat Wednesday, I decided to shake things up again and make pancakes based off this recipe. I changed it up and this is what I used:
- 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 packet of Sponge Bob Square pants Chocolate Cream of Wheat
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 egg white
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons apple sauce
A healthier version of the ingredients on the website.
One one of my pancakes I topped with soy nut butter, the other, some defrosted frozen berries warmed in the microwave for a few seconds.
And then I made a pancake-wich
I loved this breakfast. Sadly, the chocolate wasn’t too strong but the soynut butter and berry combo was great. The pancakes were light and the perfect size for breakfast.
Fortunately I have no meetings today so I am hoping to make a dent in my to-do list; tomorrow is jam packed full of meetings and Friday I am out of the office so today is really my only chance at productivity…

Funny, my friend and I were just talking about pancakewiches yesterday! I need to try one STAT.
The pancakes look good!
I love workouts that leave you shaking
The Core Fusion workout sounds like a pretty good workout. I enjoy a good workout video to change things up once and a while.
Love your breakfast idea! Too cute!
pancakewich! genius!
I’ve been wanting to find soynut butter — I researched it yesterday along with the nut butters I posted about. I assume Whole Foods has it, so I’ll check next time I go!
I love the idea of a pancake-wich — too cute!
Love it! How do you come up with this stuff!?! I’m going to give the soy nut butter a try too!
Sponge Bob Square Pants?! They make Cream of Wheat?!
I used to eat cream of wheat allllll the time when I was a kid. Now I just stick to oats, but hey, I love it! I used to add so much brown sugar and butter to it back then, mmm, so good.
Can’t wait to try this! I am a BIG fan of CoW.
