This afternoon, after making mashed sweet potatoes to bring to my Aunt and Uncle’s house tomorrow afternoon, I went for a run. I decided to run 3 miles but ended up running about 3.25 – today’s run was much easier than yesterday’s – I ran around the lake behind my parent’s townhouse – it is mostly flat. Cranky knee is really bothering me after yesterday’s hilly course. I have been icing it and taking some Motrin – I’m think it will be ok for tomorrow.
Matt and I also walked up to the grocery store to stretch our legs a little more – we picked up some bananas, tomatoes and brown sugar – my mom was out.
Before heading out, we had some salsa and Tostitos for a snack/lunch. We got this cranberry salsa at the Farmers Market yesterday – it was so delicious!
For dinner, we tried to clean out the leftover turkey from Sunday – I was ok with having another Turkey Club sandwich – they are my favorite you know.
I made my turkey sandwich again on toasted white bread with Miracle Whip, 2 slices of bacon, lettuce and tomato.
With the turkey club sandwich we had roasted asparagus and the leftover brussels sprouts with apple from Sunday.
Look at this sandwich – now tell me that doesn’t look good!?!
After dinner, we had a mini-birthday celebration. My birthday is on Saturday so we had a cupcake to celebrate
I enjoyed the cake part – the frosting wasn’t the greatest so I scraped it off.
We may have celebrated my birthday today, but it is actually my sister’s birthday! Happy Birthday Laura!
To bed early tonight – I have to get up early for my race tomorrow!
