Enjoying the Upper Crust…

Check out the amazing view from my hotel room

IMG_5805 What a great view of the Charles!

I haven’t been to Boston in a while and I forget how much I enjoy walking around the city.

For dinner, I joined Matt and his students for dinner at the Upper Crust on Newbury Street.  The restaurant was small but we were able to find seats relatively close together.  Matt and I ordered a small pizza to share – they ended up bringing us a large (18 inch pizza), which we Matt ate all but a small slice.

Here are my first two slices

I probably ate another 3 more – the slices were SO small.  I figure I ate about 2 1/2 normal slices.

I absolutely love the Upper Crust’s pizza.  The crust is perfectly thin, the sauce isn’t too sweet.  Residents of New England – this is real pizza.

After dinner, we had some time to kill and as opposed to spending my money walking around Newbury Street, we went to Cold Stone Creamery for dessert.

Matt and I split a “like it” of the Birthday Cake Remix

IMG_5809 Cold Stone really knows their ice cream.  This stuff is amazing and thank goodness we didn’t get a larger portion – I would have had a hard time not eating the whole thing!

Hope you enjoyed your Valentine’s Day!

Glad you got to enjoy valentine’s day in the city. I’ve heard great things about the Upper Crust. My husband loves it, but until they have a gluten-free crust, I guess I’ll have to take everyone’s word for it!

What a nice night! The pizza looks really good, and Coldstone is something I have not enjoyed for a very long time. We have this new ice cream place that always wins over Coldstone in our household. I do like it though, especially their cake mix ice cream, oh man!

Have a great day Heather!

LOVE Boston & love The Upper Crust – I also like that they have whole wheat crust – makes me happy! As for Coldstone – I believe Matt was the first one to introduce me to it!

You were on Newbury and didn’t get ice cream from JP Licks?!?! Insane, haha.

I had the Upper Crust for dinner. Mmm!
