I am so glad it is Friday! The three day weekend could not come soon enough.
I started the day with an Egg Sammie – today a little different. I didn’t have a regular tomato, so I cooked some chopped up cherry tomatoes with the egg.
In a microwave safe bowl sprayed with cooking spray went one egg with the diced tomatoes. I cooked it for 30 seconds, stirred and then 2 more 15 second intervals. I added the egg to a toasted Pepperidge Farm Whole Wheat Deli Flat with a piece of reduced fat cheddar cheese melted on top….
Not quite as pretty as normal…but still tasty!
At work, I realized I was a little short on my fruit intake this morning, so I got 1/2 a grapefruit
A little tart but still good nonetheless.
One of my projects this long weekend is to plan out my half-marathon training program. Have you run a 1/2 marathon before? If so, did you use a particular training program?

Hi Heather!
I loosely used the SmartCoach training program from RunnersWorld.com for my 1/2. I didn’t necessarily follow the paces listed, but I did follow the recommended milage to a T (at least until I got injured 2 weeks out from race day). Do you know what 1/2 you’re going to run? Super exciting!!
I haven’t run a half before, but my goal is to run one in the spring. I’ve found quite a few plans for all different skill levles on Cool Runnings and Runner’s World.
Happy Friday!
