Homecoming Tradition

One of Matt’s work responsibilities is his school’s Homecoming.  He has been working crazy hours all week (Monday was the earliest he was home and that was almost 8 pm).  Tomorrow is the Homecoming parade and crowning of the King and Queen; that means tonight is float building.  Two years ago, I started bringing Matt dinner at work – the last two years dinner has been from

I got a Turkey Sub with Swiss Cheese, lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar.

October 30, 2009 018Being a true New Jersey-ian (both Matt and I are), I would have to say that NJ has the best:

  1. Sub Sandwiches
  2. Pizza
  3. Bagels

Jersey Mikes is the closest thing to a true New Jersey sub we have found living in Massachusetts – I guess it is because this chain originated down the Jersey Shore (notice I said “down the Jersey Shore” – a true Jersey-ian always says “down the shore” – not the beach). 

I walked over to float building for a few minutes and then headed home for the evening.  I am running in the Homecoming 5k tomorrow morning – not looking for speed – just running for fun!  Best be getting my beauty rest.
