Its Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas…

by Heather on December 20, 2009

Today we had snow.

December 20, 2009 008 We made some cookies (these are my Mom’s favorite)

December 20, 2009 018 Some Oatmeal-Caramel Bars (minus the nuts).  These are still in the pan looking delicious – we haven’t tried them yet.

December 20, 2009 014 Peppermint Chocolate Pretzels a la Rhodey Girl Tests

December 20, 2009 016 Wrapped Presents and divided them into boxes depending on their final destination

December 20, 2009 021And even made a Red-Green dinner

December 20, 2009 010This dinner was surprisingly delicious and to me, tasted like Penne Vodka.  We used Annie’s Organic 5 Grain Elbows and White Cheddar as the base.  We added the handful of spinach that remained in the fridge, a can of Italian Diced Tomatoes, frozen peas and a Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese.   This was an amazing case of throw everything we have in a bowl and it made a great meal.  Hooray.  I would like to add…that is the last can of tomatoes we have.  We are really scraping the cabinets and fridge clean.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without a letter to Santa.  Here is mine:

Dear Santa,

I have been a good girl this year.  My car is currently sitting in the parking lot and it won’t start.  I would like my car to start tomorrow morning.  It’s my pre-Christmas wish.  If you can do anything to help the situation, I would really appreciate it.  I’ve attached a picture of it so you know which one it is.

Thank you!

Heather

December 20, 2009 007P.S.  Matt and I even cleaned the snow off it.   This was the pre-cleaned picture.

Time to figure out something to bring for lunch tomorrow!  Enjoy the rest of your night!

Hope Santa comes early with a car mechanic elf!! Maybe he’ll bring Will Ferrell too…okay I’ve watched Elf too much this week. SO many delicious treats that I want to reach in and take a bite of!

Wow, you are SO organized. I haven’t started wrapping yet, and my presents are scattered between my apartment, my car, and my parents’ house.
