Getting up early and me were not friends this morning – I woke up multiple times this morning feeling like I should get up except it was 3 am. Still I got out of bed (at 5:30 am) and completed a 40 minute tempo run. Before I left the apartment I had a glass of water and the other 1/2 of my Skinny Oatmeal Raisin Bar.
After seeing everyone in the blog world eating with pumpkin, – pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin oatmeal – I got slightly jealous. Today I decided to make a new breakfast smoothie. In the blender went:
- 1/4 cup Organic Oats (blended for a few seconds first)
- French Vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast
- 1 Cup Skim Milk
- Libby’s Pure Pumpkin – little less then 1/2 a cup
- Frozen Banana
In a few seconds, I got this delightful masterpiece.
Oh have I missed you pumpkin. Sadly this wasn’t as pumpkin-y as I had hoped – I guess next time I will need to add more pumpkin!
Today I have a bunch of meetings and then my first ever YOGA class. The Wellness Office on campus is running a 5 week class every Tuesday night from 7-8 pm. Fortunately, I got in before the class closed – the wait list is a mile long. I have never taken a yoga class so I am beyond excited.
