Lime and Salt Popcorn

by Heather on June 5, 2010

It is no secret, I have an addiction to Lime Food should Taste Good Chips.  It would not be difficult to eat an entire bag.  In only one sitting.  I am not ashamed, but the other day, I found an excellent replacement.

In a brown paper lunch bag, I added 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels.  I folded the top over and placed the bag on its side in the microwave and hit the “Popcorn” button.

When the popping was done, I opened the bag and squeezed 1/2 of a lime over the bag (and shook it at the same time).  Next, I sprinkled some salt over the bag and poured into a bowl.

Voila…

What a great afternoon snack with minimal preparation.

What is your favorite microwave popcorn topping?

What a great idea! This may be a silly question, but…where would I get just popcorn kernels? I like popcorn since it can be a fairly safe snacking food, but I usually don’t have it because of the whole bag-full-of-chemicals thing.

I found you Twitter and this blog after someone re-tweeted this post- I just read the “About” section and I love it, keep up the good work! The Disney half/full is my dream- I’ve currently done one full, one half and I’m working on qualifying for Boston this summer.

I’ll definitely be back to browse your recipes and blogroll. Happy running!
