Sorry for the blogging hiatus! Before heading into work yesterday I fell asleep for a little while and ended up rushing. We had a FANTASTIC event last night – probably close to 1,000 people were at Casino night.
For dinner, I enjoyed the rest of my calzone from Friday night
I got home a little later then I anticipated – close to 1 am! By the time I got ready for bed and had a few minutes to wind down, I fell asleep close to 2 am. Needless to say, I let myself sleep until I woke up naturally – which ended up being 11:30 am. My body really needed some sleep.
Matt and I split a Food For Life 7 sprouted grain English Muffin for a pre-run snack. I topped mine with soy nut butter
I really like these muffins – definitely something I would purchase again.
Then I went on a run – Week 6, Day 3. It was probably about 10 degrees hotter and a lot sunnier then my early morning runs; plus I have been fighting a sore throat for a few days. Those factors made for a slow run – I was able to do it without stopping though.
After my run, I enjoyed a bowl of cereal. In the bowl went:
- Cascadian Farm Multi Grain Squares
- Kashi Island Vanilla
- Quaker Oatmeal Squares
- 1 chopped banana
I topped my cereal with about a cup of Stonyfield Farm Fat Free French Vanilla and some skim milk.
Perfect!
Matt was in the process of juicing up a storm. In the juicer went:
- beet
- apple
- carrot
- celery
- garlic
- cucumber
He presented me with a glass
Although the same juice he made last weekend – which was surprisingly not bad, this juice was NASTY. It almost had no flavor – except for the garlic. I drank about 1/2 of this – it was all I could stomach.
I need to do some cleaning – I will be back later with 2 days of Simple Changes September!
