There is a salad bar that I love to visit while I am in Hartford. It is part of an office cafeteria but the conference committee typically dines there during our planning meetings. I would be the happiest person if my school cafeteria had a salad bar like this. In fact, I would eat it every day.
Check out this salad! I also think I love this salad bowl because they have large bowls – there is something about a salad in a bowl as opposed to a plate…
Ok Ok maybe it doesn’t look too exciting – but it was awesome. There was steamed broccoli, red peppers, cherry tomatoes, spinach, romaine lettuce, mushrooms, shredded carrots, feta cheese,an egg white and a few croutons. The veggies tasted so much better than my cafeteria – perhaps they were kinda fresh?!?!
With my salad I had some guacamole (with a few chips). I left some of the guacamole and the chips…
And a dry brownie (I have no idea why I ate this all – it wasn’t that good)
We made some headway today with our conference planning. More meetings tomorrow though – its time for me to get to bed.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my half marathon post recap – I appreciate all the kind words!

I made a salad the other night with steamed broccoli in it. The broccoli made the salad!
mmm that salad has me craving some fresh veggies!
I wish I could eat salad like that every day too! I put grilled chicken in mine, mmmmm. Good seeing you in Hartford!
