Need Recipes NOW

by Heather on November 24, 2009

Tonight we all went to PF Chang’s China Bistro for dinner.  Matt loves Chinese food but with my nut and seed allergies, dining at a Chinese food restaurant makes me very nervous.  I decided to let go of my fear, ask questions and have some Chinese food – I haven’t had Chinese food probably since High School!  I apologize in advance for the picture quality – it was dark in there.

November 24, 2009 009I started off the evening with a cup of Egg Drop Soup

November 24, 2009 010 Which was delicious – I love Egg Drop Soup!

Next up – steamed Vegetarian Dumplings

November 24, 2009 011 Anyone have a good Vegetarian Dumpling recipe – I must make these!

Finally I ended the evening with Lemon Scallops…these tasted like Lemon Picatta Scallops

November 24, 2009 013 I split shared these with Matt and my Dad – they were nice and tender.  I also had some fried rice which I mixed with the brown rice I ordered (from Melissa’s twitter recommendation).   The fried rice was also amazing – anyone got a good recipe for that?

As if this dinner wasn’t enough, Matt and I split a “Like It” of Cake Batter Remix from Cold Stone Creamery – oddly it missed the camera?!?  Would you believe we ate it while watching Biggest Loser…?  hmmmm….I would.

What did you think of Biggest Loser tonight?

I ALWAYS love biggest losetr. I just hate the small and obvious product inserts!

I agree about the product placement, waaay too much of that. It was a pretty good one but I don’t like Rudy anymore!

Did you like the brown rice? LOL. I hope I didn’t give a bad suggestion!

I only caught the last hour of the Biggest Loser. Cake Batter is THE best Coldstone flavor. I love to get it with blueberries and strawberries mixed in.

I’ve never had Coldstone. A field trip is in order.
The dumplings look mighty tasty! I like PF Changs because they’re cool about special requests and don’t mind making any dish a bit healthier for you.

Happy Turkey Day!
