Matt and I have decided to start a “go out for breakfast” Saturday morning tradition. We are hoping to keep this tradition going during the school year as a way to have a nice, relaxing meal. I have class two nights a week this semester – and I will probably have to work Monday or Thursday nights for my student group meetings – so Matt and I will not see each other a lot during the week.
This Saturday breakfast tradition will be a nice way to relax and catch up – plus who doesn’t love to go out for breakfast!
Today we enjoyed breakfast at Persy’s Place
Talk about an overwhelming menu! After about 10 minutes of reading descriptions I settled on the Chunky Chimp Buttermilk Pancakes – pancakes with bananas and chocolate chips. I also ordered an over easy egg on the side.
Holy Moly look at these.
There are 3 pancakes there – I ate a little less then half of this ginormous portion. They didn’t need any butter or syrup – amazing. The pieces with banana were so sweet. Lovely.
Matt had the Sautéed Mushroom Omelet.
It had hollandaise sauce on the top – so rich. The cornbread was grilled and buttery. Some of the best cornbread I have ever had.
Persy’s will be a future spot of Saturday morning breakfast again. I promise.
We are also very productive after Saturday morning breakfast – we went to Walmart, the Farmers Market and got a ding in Matt’s windshield fixed all before 11:30 am. Talk about productivity.
