I woke up again for the second day in a row attempting to get in a run – I really really really wanted to run today to clear my head. Work is in full swing and I could have used a little bit of a de-stressor.
Looking outside, it appeared clear. Once again, got into my running gear and stepped outside to see it raining. I debated a run in the rain but it was raw, cold and windy – the last thing I need to do is get sick right now.
So back inside I went.
It is the perfect weather for one of my winter faves – Oatmeal. Also, I had an empty soy nut butter jar that I saved for “Oats in a Jar” – breakfast was well on its way.
I cooked my oatmeal on the stovetop and when it was done, I stirred in 1 mashed banana and some slightly defrosted blueberries. I wanted to bring down the temperature of the oatmeal slightly as to not melt my plastic jar.
I truly love oatmeal. The creaminess of the oatmeal combined with the sweetness of the banana and blueberries. Pure bliss on this dark and dismal day.

I didn’t used to like oatmeal, but now I love it!
Am I understanding this right – the reason you put the oatmeal in the jar is to get the remaining soy/nut butter?
