I got up early this morning and set out to complete the last run of week 6. I am not the biggest fan of Monday morning runs – it is hard to start the week with such an early alarm!
Before I left, I had the rest of my blueberry z-bar from the other day.
My legs were very tight and my run was slow. Very slow. I can’t blame it on the heat today – it was much colder then yesterday. Surprisingly, my last mile was my fastest – that is very a-typical for me.
When I got back, I tried a new smoothie combination. In the blender went:
- 1/4 cup Organic Oats (blended first)
- 1/2 a packet of Vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast
- 1/2 cup Oikos Vanilla Yogurt
- Skim Milk
- Handful of Spinach
- One Frozen Banana
- Frozen Blueberries and Raspberries

You really don’t taste the spinach.
I have to admit, I am more a fan of the chocolate based smoothies – who wouldn’t be though?!?
Off to work – hopefully I will cross some things off my three-page to do list!
