I set out for a 5 mile run this morning – not realizing how beautiful it was outside. There was not a cloud in the sky and the temperatures must have been in the mid 50s. I was enjoying my run until about 2.25 miles in – at that point, a gnat found its unfortunate demise in my right eye. I stopped for a few seconds hopeful that it would work its way out but no such luck. I continued on my merry way and at 2.5 miles – my turn around point – I took a few seconds to assess the situation. Feeling great, I decided to go for a nice even 6 miles this morning.
I was very excited to decide to make my run 6 miles – because I saw two turkeys. They were the highlight of my run.
I am running a wee-bit late, so here is a glimpse at my brunch. A green monster smoothie (2 cups spinach, 1 cup Enriched Rice Milk and 1 banana) and a Veggie Quesadilla (1 Flat Out Wrap, tomato, scallions and reduced fat cheddar cheese)
I have to head into work for a little while – there is an awards ceremony I need to make a few presentations at.

There was a bug in your eye? I would have freaked out for sure!
I discussed the smoothie with Matt at work the other day and I think I’m going to take the Green Monster plunge. He assured me that it won’t make me a Sox fan if I drink it and that we won’t taste the spinach….we’ll see…
