Race Recaps
Running was something I always wanted to do – but never thought I could. I tried running a few times in my life – bought running sneakers and everything – but never lasted more then a week or two. A few months before my wedding (and also the year I turned 30), I decided I was going to run a 5k. I used the Couch to 5K training program and loved every minute of it. Better yet – I stuck with it.
The first race I ran was in September 2008 (before I blogged) – the Susan Komen Race for the Cure in Boston.
In 2009, I ran the race and beat my previous time by almost 7 minutes
Thanksgiving 2009, I ran my first 8k – and Turkey Trot in 46:30.
In 2010, so far, I have run 2 half marathons.
January 2010 – Disney Half Marathon
For the Disney Half Marathon, I followed the half marathon training program from Cool Running
June 2010 – Worcester Half Marathon
For the Worcester Half Marathon, I followed a training program created by a friend – Mike
