Salmon Burgers!

by Heather on November 8, 2009

This afternoon I definitely noticed a change in appetite – I was hungry.  I ate the rest of my Spaghetti Squash plus some Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies.  Matt and I settled down for a Senior Citizens dinner around 5:45 pm.

We had salmon burgers from Whole Foods that we picked up a few weeks ago

November8, 2009 002 I enjoyed my salmon burger on a Pepperidge Farm Whole Wheat Deli Flat with spinach and tomato and a little Miracle Whip/Lemon juice mix.

November8, 2009 004Do you see that salad on the side – its a mixture of Broccoli Slaw, diced Honeycrisp Apple, Champagne Vinegar, Olive Oil and Craisins.

The Salmon Burgers were not that bad – they were a little fishy but something I would buy again.  They are quick to prepare, healthy and relatively inexpensive (for Salmon).

The side salad was delicious – I had a little heavy pour on the Champagne Vinegar but the apple and craisins added a great balance to the vinegar.

This dinner was filling and finally got my tummy to stop rumbling.

I got most of my presentation done for next weekend, two loads of laundry and I balanced my checkbook but wish I had a little bit more time to get a few other things done.

How was your Sunday?

I love the salmon burgers from Trader Joes. So cheap and so easy…and also really good.

Hi Kelly – these were from Whole Foods – but next time I go to Trader Joes I will have to pick some up!

Yum! That meal looks very satisfying. I like the idea of Craisins in the salad.
Great job on your run earlier!

Thanks Melissa – I bought some laughing cow cheese to have with my broccoli slaw – I may make that tonight!

I think every weekend should be a 3 day weekend….that way there would be a day to do all of those chores and errands, but there would still be weekend left for relaxing!

Congratulations on your 8 miles. It was a beautiful day for a run, but I had to completely rethink my running attire, as it was just too warm to run in my fleece!

I agree about the three-day weekend Shannon – I never feel like I have time to relax by the time I do everything else i have to do!

Those salmon burgers looks better than the one’s I buy at Trader Joe’s, but maybe it’s just the picture on the front? I’m getting sick of the TJs salmon patties, so I should look for these. I’ve never said I’m getting sick of ANYTHING from TJs! Crazy.

Hi Gina – I haven’t tried the ones from Trader Joe’s but these weren’t bad!

No salmon burgers for me but the side salad sounds delish.

I balanced my checkbook as soon as I got to the office this morning. Had to make sure my weekend didn’t throw me off track.
