This morning, I got up at the exciting time of 5:45 am to go for a run. My lack of sleep the past few days is definitely catching up with me.
The weather outside did not help my mood – check out the pea soup.
Before heading out, I enjoyed a Fig Newman – which I forgot to take a picture of initially. Please pardon the missing bite!
Today is day 2 of my weekly run. I hate day 2 and today was no different. Nine intervals of slow jogging for 3 minutes and then 3 minutes of fast running. That’s a lot of running. The last 2 sets of fast running were painful – my legs were feeling it and started to cramp up a little. I slowed down a little and was thankful to be still moving.
I promised myself a delicious breakfast for completing this run and decided a Chocolate Soy Nut butter smoothie would fit the bill. In the blender went:
- 1 packet of Chocolate Carnation Instant Breakfast
- 1 tablespoon soy nut butter
- 1 cup of moo juice
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/4 cup of organic oats (blended first)
Perfection – what a great way to celebrate the completion of my least favorite running day.
Tuesday’s are full of meetings – I’m not looking forward to my email inbox either. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel – yoga tonight.

It was VERY foggy out this morning. I was kind of scared to go running, but did it anyway. It was yucky
Good luck in your meetings!
I was a little scared to go out too – but I’m glad I did!
