Tropical Smoothie

by Heather on January 11, 2010

Yesterday, our flight was delayed so we didn’t make it home until almost 9 pm.  Originally, we were supposed to be in around 5 pm – I had planned on going to the grocery store to pick up a few things but that did not happen.

This morning, I went through the kitchen and discovered a few apples and frozen fruit.  In light of our non-warm trip to Florida, I decided to make a frozen smoothie to highlight the irony of the trip – I could have tropical flavors right in my apartment can’t I!?!

In the blender went a cup of milk, 1/2 a vanilla Carnation Instant breakfast packet, frozen peaches, mango and banana.  I gave it a whirl and breakfast was born.

I am off to register for a class today – I am debating starting another Master’s degree so this semester I am going to take one class before I apply to the program.  I want to make sure it is the right fit!

I have started writing a half marathon recap – it is almost done and I will post it soon.

Welcome home! Can’t wait to read the recap!

I’ll be interested to hear more about the class you are taking and the program you are considering…

Every time I saw the temps in Florida, I was shocked and felt bad for all of you looking for a warm getaway.

Can’t wait to read your 1/2 marathon recap!
