Matt and I had a great time at my cousin Katie’s wedding yesterday. Before we left, Matt and I tried something new….
and
The un-findable in my grocery store Chobani flavors.
Let me tell you these were absolutely amazing – I think I liked the pineapple the best. It didn’t taste “fake” like a lot of fruit on the bottom yogurts do. The pomegranate flavor had whole pomegranate seeds in it. I’m in love.
Dear Hannaford,
Please get these two yogurts.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Heather
Matt and I split the two yogurts – and I also had a piece of cold pizza.
I love cold pizza – not quite as good as hot – but delicious nonetheless.
The church service was beautiful – my cousin looked gorgeous! It is amazing how much she looked like my grandmother.
After the church service we had about an hour before the reception. My parents, Matt and I found a restaurant with a great outside bar (with TVs so my Dad could check the football scores).
Matt and I each had a glass of our new favorite Riesling.
Oh my gosh. There are no words to describe this. The perfect level of sweetness and fruit flavor. I hope I can find it again!
We then headed over to the reception and enjoyed the cocktail hour. Besides multiple passed h’ors d’ouvres, here was my plate
Some purple cauliflower, asparagus, peppers, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, swiss cheese, cheddar cheese and crackers.
I decided not to have anything more to drink – I had planned on running this morning (note the key word PLANNED).
We then moved into the reception – check out the cake!
For dinner I had the filet mignon – I did request the meat option before my Simple Changes September challenge. Instead of trying to make a switch, I stuck with what I ordered.
I ate all the veggies and probably 1/4th of the meat – Matt ate the rest. The mashed potatoes were a little dry and I was pretty full so I left most of them on my plate.
Unfortunately we scooted out before the cake was served – we had about an hour drive home and didn’t want to disturb the sick nephew too much.
It was great to see many of my family members – we don’t get together often enough.
